I don't wish him physical harm and I rarely ever throw around nasty insults when I post...I even play him online on occasion. BUT, I would be lying if I pretended he didn't make things rather unpleasant for people like Marcel or Earedli. I know you remember the Oscar post, in which he took a deep shot at Earedli...far worse than anyone here is saying about him. As far as I can tell, Ear was a pretty nice guy too.

Like I said, I don't hate him personally, but I won't pretend that he is some innocent who hasn't provoked some of these people. I don't think either one of us has the right to tell Marcel (for example) how to react to such trash...and he's handled it quite well.

By the way, he's also abusive to newbs ;D

Please tell me this: What is the hidden meaning of calling anyone who doesn't agree with you a moron/incompetent idiot/sub-intelligent newbie? Because if there is one such meaning, I'm sorry, but it was buried too deep beneath a pile of insults for me to see it!

And I suppose you know him ::). I've had somewhere around 50+ civilized games with him, so I think I know him maybe just a little bit better than you think.

I disagree with him on many matters but he's never insulted or flamed me. That's because I go about it in a dignified and respectful manner instead of just throwing around flames.

I suppose you think that he deserves to have elite go up to Canada and knock him out like he claimed he would too. After reading all of the crap that goes on the boards for the mods to read, I dread to think of what he has to take in IM and WOL. But I guess it's lost on you because you just dont give a crap do you?

With 30+ other people on your ass all the time, is it really that surprising that he'd react badly to you? When you have to take abuse all the time you get overly-defensive and you snap at people with little provocation. I'm not defending anything he may have done but after all the crap he takes I can kind of understand where he's coming from. And I think the person you're talking about is crazyf1. Umm...I think you should double-check physical violence in a dutch-english dictionary...

Ear left because he had interest in other things and just didn't find emp fun anymore. I was in his clan, trust me I know this. If someone bothers you this much then just ignore them.

ABOVE ALL - Just be civil and grown up about these things. You're going to have to interact with people you may not like in the future and if you're not good at it, you're going to come off as a total jackass, so just get used to it and treat everyone with the respect you'd show others.

As a relative 'Newbie' to these forums i am highly amused at all this discussion about Nav. ;D...I've read many of his posts i find some very informative,some ridiculous,some inflamitory,some very amusing,some i have no opinion on one way or the other...The important point here is to 'DISCUSS' these opinions.Sometimes nobody is 'Right'or 'Wrong'the idea is to see something from a different point of view.This thread has at least one beacon of hope and thats the 'Mature' and 'Thoughtfull comments of ACE and now he is being put-down .... (Dont let the masses get to ya man) Anyway..thats my thought on the matter,

This thread has survived longer than many other threads on this board. Interesting, considering that it is now a flame thread.

Anyway...

As far as I can see, in terms of verbal abuse, Nav has received no less than he has dished out (some would disagree), and perhaps he should have tried other approaches than replying in kind, but he did not. The extent to which the accusations hold truth is immaterial. These boards are not the WW ones. There are different rules here, different codes of conduct.

And no matter what Nav has done on the WW boards, justice here will NOT be administered by ostracism, insults, and accusations of who said what four months ago. If anyone has any problems with someone on these boards, see the landsraad, who will decide on what must be done.

Now, I've tried to pacify the thread by reaching a compromise within the parameters that be. Mud is still flying. It's time to stop.
