Some of us have been talking about how it would be if Peter Jackson made a new Dune movie what do you think.

Hi.

This is a message from the Dune community to Peter Jackson and other LotR producers and concerned staff that was signed by many members in some sort of demand. We hope he will read it and of course do as he wishes. Below the message that is addressed to him are the signatures of those who have wished to sign, with their nickname for those who so wanted (we're on the Internet :-) )

" Hi.

We saw your work on Lords of the Rings and found it an incredibly good interpretation. In the forums to some came the idea that it was a shame that the two contender of a cinematographic representation of Dune both partially failed, and we hoped that we could simply aware you of the existence of the Dune universe and all its richness and strenght, which many of us evaluate as comparable or even more profound (for some of us) than LotR.

If such a project interests you, we would ask you with all our "pleaaaase" combined to give all its value to the Dune universe, which was poorly depicted in the teleserie and was sadly limited with David Lynch that was cut on ressources. We humbly are the community of Dune, which is one of the richest universes that have been made, within the mestrias of science fiction such as Tolkien for fantasy. Even if it is not that much mainstreamed by its infinite subtlety and philosophy, it is stil very comprehensible in its general form to the first time viewer even if some subtleties may evade to them (which we easily see in Lynch's movie, but not really in the teleserie). The incredible strenght of Frank Herbert's world (should it be literarily, artistically, philosophically or else) should be shown to the public that reads less than us in its entire richness and complete complexity and subtleties.

Not gonna happen.  There won't be another cenematic attempt at dune, most likley ever, but for sure not for at least another 20 years.  Nor do I want it to happen.  Both Jackson and LOTR are vastly overrated.  However, if you will list the other sites this petition is appearing on, I'll post a news article on it
