hi I've gotten here to find out (ask you) how to play Dune2 on my Win8.1 desktop. Can you advice which file to download ? I know you discussed it above, but it's 2016 now and some things might change. Pls. thank you

Basically you have two options: run the original game in DOSBox, which is a DOS emulator, or use a source port, with OpenDUNE and Dune Dynasty being recommended options.

Dune Dynasty will probably be the easiest to set up and run, and it also offers an enhanced interface and other useful options.
