Shifting Sands

This is the name for a TS mod I have just finished (alpha 1.1, at least). It is effectively an entirely new game, totally dune-based- that just looks like TS. Unfourtunately, I haven't got around to compiling (or sending) the files and readme yet, but I'll report on progress a bit later on. If anyone is interested in doing the missions or changing the scenery graphics, do contact me.

It's still a bit buggy, especially concerning the Diplomacy feature. I may have to change it in a real version (this is an alpha). And someone's nicked my FS CD, so I don't know if Fremen-style Drop pods work. I'm now working on a voxel for a worm, for a later version.

tiberian sun was not a crap game it was fun and was well put together no matter what anyone says it was a good solid game and not a bad one >:( >:( >:( >:(

It was indeed a good game; the mod is not brilliant at the moment, due to things like odd bugs that I will have to fix. It should be better in a later version. This is just to test if the whole thing actually works.

I'm currently in the process of getting TS, but getting something for myself would piss everyone off this close to Christmas. So I wait...for now.

It will work better with Firestorm. (ie the Fremen superweapon actually works, etc)

dex I did not say TS was crap I just said that some mods can make crap games fun not TS just other games I like TS.

Right. I'm now looking for suggestions to improve it - I've done some work on the art, and some tweaking, but I need your views on gameplay.

Version 1.2 is now out.

You can now ally with the Ordos (They, the Guild, and the Ixians are subhouses, and the Fremen and Tleilaxu could be allied with only by the At and Hk respectively).

There are more units and some of the effects, weapons and gameplay has been tweaked. I have some probems with movement; I don't know if I've corrupted anything, but there seem to be lots of invisible obstacles everywhere.
