How can I create a city with a UN-English name such as Chinese, Japanese or anyother languages in the editor of RT2 or RT2 TSC?

Does anyone know how to edit the map files in utralEdit?

You could try to change your regional settings or use the Language Toolbar but I doubt that would work very well. RT2 is just old enough that it probably pre-dates the language support that we have had available since W2K. I'm at work but I seem to recall that the min system requirements were for Win95. I'd suspect you'd also have to run the screen resolution up to about 1280 X 1024 and run RT2 in Windowed mode so you could get to the Language Toolbar and RT2 at the same time.

Never have. Do you have a link to utralEdit? Freeware? Open Source?

Very simple suggestion, but have you tried typing the name in another program, then copy-paste it into RT2? I have done this to get the French accents in both RT2 and RT3.
