asdboard
Hi everybody,I am experiencing some trouble with RRT2 and RRT2 TSC. There is no sound effect during a game or using the main menu (but the music works), except when I turn the effects volume to 0 and then turn it up again (the slide effect is heard once, then silence again). Along with this, there is a more serious problem: after 20-30 minutes the program crashes with the error message "DirectSound Error #-141623282". I'm running RRT2 on W2K, P IV 2.4GHz, 256MB RAM, SoundMax on board audio. Any idea? Thanks in advance....
Gwizz
Did you try re-installing RT2?You might have a corrupted file
asdboard
Yes, I tried a couple of times with no results; anyway, it would be strange to have corrupted files in two different versions.
Gwizz
It sure sounds like a corrupted file.I wonder if the two programs share a file.Maybe the corruption is in your sound files? ???If that was the case you should have other programs experiencing problems as well. You might run a repair program to see if a corrupted file shows up.Kim Commando has some free repair programs listed on her site. asdboard
It looks quite weird, as no other software shows sound problems, but a deeper investigation leads me to the conclusion that there is something wrong with the SoundMax files. The RRT installations on my second pc work perfectly. Thanks for your help anyway :)
