FINAL "CIVIL WAR IN THE HEARTLAND"  MAP

The 6 Gold events will not end the game; But,

10 years (FOR Bronze, Silver and the loss event) will end the game.

Map has more play action than the beta maps, but is now easier.

(to make map easier or harder: open editor, choose button on right

2nd from top,  Choose Economy, set slider for economy to be lower

for harder and simpler game or higher for easier and busier game)

Tips:

1.  To avoid congestion,

       a. Use cell corner to corner crossings as much as possible.

       b. Plan for multiple stations at steel plants and major stations.

2    Use AI trains and companies.

       a. For one way Hauls on you sidings or to create a back haul for you.

       b. To build track if you plan to merge AI after it is broke.

(Make a chairmen rich & he can start another stronger company)

3.   Collect track cells.

       a. A lot of track is necessary for winning.

       b. Use up AI track cells for your future expansions before merging.

(try and not run on AI track unless you want to keep the AI alive)

(ruin an AI by making him pay you, running his trains on your track)

4.    Keep a good reserve of track cells and money during the wars years,

         1861 to 1865.

I removed the first thread with the beta maps for the above completed map.  The beta maps had the title of HEARTLAND'S CIVIL WAR.

For the completed map I changed the title to:

CIVIL WAR IN THE HEARTLAND.

Hey - I love this map. VERY cool!

One problem though - you have TWO towns of Hopkinsville in the same "state"!  Look east of Cairo and you will see my original Hopskinsville and then look further east and you will see a town with the same name!

Minor but there it is....

:)
