Henry Flagler's Miami to Florida Keys Railway, set in the early 20th century. I tried to locate the author but had difficulty. Anyhow, here it is. [attachment deleted by admin]

Had my first try at this yesterday. Great map and idea. Started with buying a dairy farm which was hugely profitable but may have been the wrong strategy - all subsequent industrial buys were a complete waste of much needed cash.  Anyway got just south of Marathon when time ran out but I'll give it another try railroading from day one.  Some of the "Events" are real killers, so the earlier you get to Key West the better.

Had my 2nd try. Upped the Normal to Hard and forgot about Industry and did rather better nearly connectingthe two and hauled some passengers by starting from both ends!  One mystery.  You always lose some money - like millions - to build wharves etc but twice in 1914 - 16 I lost a million dollars (which, of course, I badly needed) without any notification as to why - I'd refused to defend my honour this time as I couldn't afford the $500,000 - something to do with this?

I also didn't invest in the Key West pavillion or whatever it was as I seemed to make no money from it first time round. Any advice for my 3rd attempt?

Well as you can tell I like this map and finally got Gold at 3rd attempt.  Find it very annoying though that you have to invest money in ferries etc but - so far as I can tell - get no return from them.
