Island Time map for download

This is a 2 player battle map based around an island region

Map Features:

No trees for improved multiplayer performance and stability.

No secondary industries, players place these themselves

Reduced bridge building costs

Increased factory production

Restricted Territories

I downloaded this map and i really like it a lot, and would like to play it against the computer too.

But what must i do to get the AI to start a company instead of just buying my shares ? - i tried to create a company and assign an AI chairman, but as soon as the game started, he spent all the companys money buying back stocks, instead of laying tracks  :-\

Change managers for the AI.  Your manager doesn't like to build.

I don't have my list with me.  I think Drew is a builder but I'm not sure.

thanks for the advice, but i still can't get it to work.

It is a cool map for singleplayer, but i would prefer some competition, and unfortunately, i dont know any other railroders :O(

I'm not sure why your AIs won't build.

Try Giving the AI a bit more money.  He may not have enough to build a railroad.

Add more AI managers.  If one won't build maybe another will.

Check to see that the AIs have territory rights.

I haven't looked at this map yet. 

It could be the cities are not big enough or close enough together.

Make the cities bigger. Go to the editor and increase the % by 50% or there-abouts.

You could add some cities in-between the others if the map is sparce of cities.

Check the restrictions.  It could be some important ones are truned off.

Despite being a 2 player map I liked it so I finally managed to get Gold on Expert 5 years early using the Industry method for about the 1st 5 years - I'd guess it might be possible to get Gold without ever laying a line! Maybe I'll give it a try later but right now I need a change of scenario :) :)
