Marathon Trilogy based on The Jesus Incident?

Wikipedia provides the following info concerning The Jesus Incident.

Has anyone here played the Marathon Trilogy and found elements of TJI in the game?

Yeah, I've also read that on Wikipedia, but I only played a demo of Marathon 2: Durandal (I've heard the whole series has gone freeware though). Neither have I read The Jesus Incident. There seem to be quite a few in-depth concepts Bungie put in their games generally, it's a pity some were never released on PC (Pathways Into Darkness must be a particularly interesting specimen, judging from what I've read about it).
