Black screen with music playing - XP

When starting dune 2000 the video plays and then the screen goes black you can here the music in the background and if you click around you can hear the buttons are there its just not displaying at all. I've tried running in all the different compatibility modes with no luck. I'm using a Toshiba satellite R10 with XP tablet edition and IntelĀ® 82852/82855 graphics. I installed this on my external hard drive and gives me the black screen but same install works fine on my girlfriends laptop Dell Inspiron 2200 with Intel 915/910 graphics. Has anyone been able to sort out this problem? Any help would be appreciated as I'm finding this really annoying

Under the 'Security' tab of the properties of the folder you have Dune 2000 in, set it to 'Everyone' has 'Full Control'. This works on Vista and may work on XP, but I'm not entirely sure. You guys should try it. It worked for me.
