i installed dune 2000 and whenever i get past the opening video where elara tells the prophecy nothing happens till i hit the esc button but when i do i get a black screen and just the music plays and then i can't do anything

i installed dune 2000 but after the opening video the screen goes black and i can't hear anything till i hit esc button but the screen stays black
