I've got a big problem: at the beginning, when I

choose my house, it says (in speech) "House Atreides" and it

hangs!!!!

I've got an AMD K6-2 450 Mhz, Win98 SE and a YAMAHA DS-XG Sound

Card. I've installed the sound patch: if I choose "no digitized sounds"

within the SETUP, it works .

What can it be? Please help me!

Remember the one good thing about Win9x? If a game runs then most likely they will all run. In DOS if one game runs you're lucky, especially in this age of Window$ where Autoexec.bat's and config.sys's are now longer optimized to run dos software. Try running without sound first and see if it still hangs. If it does it's not the soundcard. If it doesn't try getting newer soundblaster compatible (Dos) drivers. You can also try to modify your Autoexec.bat and Config.sys, try loading the absolute minimum to make it run.

Just a thought. Make sure you have the very latest version of DirectX installed. I haven't had this problem, myself, but I seem to remember seeing this problem some while ago and this was one of ideas put forward.
