Is Online play still supported??

Hi,

I am coming back to Dune200 after a 4 year hiatus and was trying to go online but was unsuccessful.

When I select Multiplayer>Internet>Register option, I get a message "Cannot access the Internet. You need to have  Internet access to able to register a name"

I have Netgear router WNR8348.

Waiting anxiously for a response.

Online play is still supported, but no one seems to play it. When im logged on, there is nobody else logged on. Perhaps we two can play against each other.

To your question. When i started multiplayer modus and wanted to lock in, the computer started an update to version 1.06 automatically. Now its working without any problems... only the problem that noone is playing the game. I have installed the game on me windows me edition. in don

I like this game very much and want to play it online

I have westwood internet components, but when i click internet game crashes and telling me something about reg_db

I think this is becurse i don't have any marks about dune2000 and westwood components in my reg

Could you give me this reg?

And how can i play it online? i heard that i can't simply press internet and come to lobby. Sorry for English, i'am russian...

Difficulty lies in that not many people play it online anymore, let alone they come here to the boards frequently.

Have you tried reinstalling the game & reinstalling the Westwood Shared Internet Components? That should put the right records into the registry.

As for other problems while trying to get online, this topic may help.

I do well the Patch 1.06... all download for itself... but keep saying that i need to register a login name... where i do that? HELP PLZ!!! I WANT TO KICK SOME ASSES IN DUNE 2000!!!  :P

:)you dont have to register, just fill in a name and password and get on line. If the name is taken use another name/password. I think iam one of the last players. Played it for the last time 5 months ago lol. Always in for a game just let me know muis2000dune@hotmail.com
