Thanks for all the helpful tips. Now the problem is (LOL)that the game loads and starts up really quick but then for some reason the game play is super slow. This is a more recent computer about 1.5 years old. I don't get why my graphics card cant handle a 6 year old game or is that this game was not meant to be played on win XP??

Any Ideas

Go to start/run/dxdiag, save all information and post it as an attachment on here.

It might be the drivers, for starters.

Make sure to close any background applications. Do you have Norton or a firewall running in the background?

are you are using an intergrated  video chip?  on board?

most outdated hardware will run the game fine at highest sttings with 'advanced/multitexture' set to 'off' in game.

you could also goto the SiS chipset website and download new drivers for the video card to see if that helps.

if all else fails, at lowest settings, then u need a new display card...

note:  'multitexture' setting doesnt run well on old/generic-intergrated hardware :)it crawls..

do not disable 'hardware t&l' if your card supports it..

oh by the way, if your video card can use antialiasing or anisotropic filtering, you should disable it through the display panel.

I read some review of the graphics card and most of it was pretty sad. Basically its a weak graphics card. I also went to SIS website and could not find it in their search fields LAME.

Thanks for the help again.

Man you guys know your computer sh1t.
