There's this really amazing thing about installing Battlefield 2 on my laptop (which almost screwed up but I'd managed to salvage it): Each time it asks for Disc 2, I insert Disc 2, and hit Yes at the "Retry?" prompt. And it doesn't do ANYTHING and just sits there.

I can get it to work on occasion. It's totally by chance. Any easier way out of this, apart from copying my discs into the computer?

Not any problems with my desktop computer. Same discs.

It's installed properly on the laptop now, after a couple of tries. Wild attempts though. I decided to let the CD go in and wait for a while till the lights stopped blinking before progressing with the installation. That seemed to have done the trick.
