He finally moved off to the side of her, opening his eyes to find Vaush staring up at him.

A lazy smile played across her lips.

When Comron re-entered his quarters, he found Vaush sitting on the sofa freshly showered, dressed in a beige body suit and white sleeveless robe.  Her hair was pulled back from her face with a velvet ribbon.

Initially she brightened at seeming him, but then remembered they were having an argument.

Not wishing to waste another second on the topic, he announced.

Alas!  After two and a half years of perseverance and endeavor, the sequel to the novel The Van Laven Oath (aka Nothing Like a Hearty Execution to Start the Day) is close to completion.  I just spent the last 3 weeks manacled to my computer, cranking out 11 new chapters primarily consisting of epic battle scenes and the novel
