Hi guys,

I started playing emperor again and finally reached the last mission, i completed it but i've always wanted to complete it by taking out every unit in the mission instead of being rushed into sending units via the advancd carryall.

Soooo is there a way to disable the timer or to change it to make it longer?

that's actually a good question.

I also never have played the last mission till the final end by destroying every enemy units and buildings. I also rushed in to kill the sandworm by different strategies...

as for the mission timer... I don't knwo but I'm sure someone from the modding community might give you an answer to this question. they know best about the settings you can change and how.

It is possible to kill everything and the worm with the timer running. ;)

The thing to do is not advance passed the 1st gap in the cliffes, this is what activates the clock. Take out the base next to yours.

Now take your time to build up a huge force feds/sards and your heavy house units. Then attack. Take out the spice things round the worm but don't kill the worm itself then wipe everything out and finally kill worm.

i did try to not go past that bit but the timer still started at some point, and there rush attacks are fierce!!

I was harkonnen and they send about 50 units to attack, luckily some projecters n fremen gets rid of them for a little while then there back again so i really need to get down to there harvesters n destroy them.

but im sure there must be a way to edit a file in the game to change how long the timer is...

There was a timer in C&C generals last mission for america but it was easy to do everything in that level n have time to spare

Yea you must ensure that no unit crosses the gap line even air/harvies will start the timer, as will scouts i believe.

I didn't say it was easy but once you control the two bases and get you spice production sorted it isnt that hard. Position sard/sard elite around base and sand in bunches of 5 to fend of guild and air attacks.

on the sands some feds will help take care of guild.

Then form a ring of inks and flame around the gap entrance sand and let them come at you.

You can kill the telex turrets on the top 1st cliff without activating timer. It's then just a matter of building up a large enough force. ;)

i can confirm that after about an hour and a half of gameplay that the timer will go off automatically, its gives you 30 minutes to complete the level, if you go past the centre point then it gives you 15 minutes.

Sooooo has anyone managed to find a way to disable it?

I was doing so well in mine till the timer went off, and the guild attacked me which wasna a problem, what was is the 50 odd laser tanks that had accumulated at the ordos base .. ^"$^&%"&
