I accidentally moved the show desktop icon to somewheres other than in the quicklaunch taskbar. Now I can only get a shortcut to it in the quicklaunch, which means I have to keep the file I moved out somewheres.

How is it possible to get the file back into the quicklaunch instead of having a shortcut to it in the quicklaunch?

Would I have to creat a comman thing?

I have the original icon or whatever that does it, but I can't get it to go into the quicklaunch taskbar, it only moves shorcuts of it there.

Yes that is exactly what I was looking for. I hadn't deleted the file, just accidentally moved it out of quicklaunch. I was looking for the folder to put it in.

Method 2

1. Use Windows Explorer to locate the following folders:

Microsoft Windows 95 and Microsoft Windows 98

WindowsApplication DataMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch

Microsoft Windows NT, Microsoft Windows 2000, and Microsoft Windows XP

C:Documents and SettingsUsernameApplication DataMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick Launch

Note Username refers to the account name where you want to put the icon.

2. Use the mouse to drag the Show Desktop.scf file to the Quick Launch folder.

3. Click Move Here.

Thanks!
