Question About sound

I had to get a new soundcard because my sb live 5.1 died.

When I play the game with my new one there is music,speech and when i lay down buildings the hammer sound boom.. and when the motorcycle units shoot i hear that but my light tanks i dont hear any firing when shooting and my light inf i dont hear any shooting i see it but dont hear it..

When you play do you hear your minitanks shoot and your light inf shoot? i am play atreides

There normally is sound. But very often the sound doesn't seem to work. I do not no why. But try and bear with it.

The only thing I know of was in the "practice multiplayer" section of the game.

You did one practice game, stopped sone minutes in the game and start a new practice scenario. Than in that new game you don't get sound when you lay down a concreat slab.

ok I installed the game on my old pc150 with sb16 sucker still runs and the game runs with full sound. So i reinstalled on the new machine and I got all the sounds concrete etc so it must have been a bad install..
