Yes, I just noticed it as well last night. There isn't really anything interesting on it right now, although I guess it's a good thing that they are writing both books simultaneously, which will hopefully lead to a bit more continuity to the story.

Apparently they read the first chapters of Hunters of Dune at that convention. Did anyone attend, or does anyone know more about it?

I know some people that were standing in that same freaking room eating Dune cake (like you can see in those pics) but they're not saying a word, damn them.

The most interesting part:

He read three chapters, in progress. Spoilers follow: the first is the Teg golha watching a future-video the destruction of Dune, which occured between chapters in Heretics. This is used as an excuse to fill readers in on what happened in books they may or may not have read twenty years ago. The second chapter reveals that the no-ship has been lost in non-space for three years... and the chapter is about Duncan having a vision and finally escaping back to the regular galaxy. There was a War of the Worlds reference here that I'm curious to check the published version next fall for - he refers to something in space as being a vast, cool intellect. The third chapter is Sheena wondering whether or not the God Emperor's soul is carried in the collection of sandworms the no-ship has in its hold. Spoilers end!
