there's constantly commerctials about it on the telly and all I've found is this serie?

now what I'd like to know is if there is made a movie about this and what it's all about?

Over the past hundred years "beings" (which are revealed in the final ep of the first season) have been abducting people from all around the world. 

Suddenly a meteor is spotted in space, which changes course and speed for Earth, making people think that it mgiht not be a meteor.

It crashes in the USA and when officials arrive to check it out they find 4400 peope who have went missing over the previous century.  The show focus' on an organization made to investigate the 4400 (some of which have unique abilities), another organization started by a member of the 4400 who is filthy rich, and a few of the 4400 themselves.

I saw maybe two episodes of the first season and the first five episodes of the second season.  The second season episodes were really, really good (the premiere features everyones favourite crazy girl Summer Glau from Firefly playing, you guesed it, a crazy gal).  I do not remember the couple first season eps I saw at all.
