Radiohead

about a month ago on a whim I picked up Kid A by radiohead. I had heard some of their music before, mainly from OK Computer and some Hail to the Thief. I really liked their electronic transformation and so anyways I picked up Kid A as I said. My goodness this album blew me away. The track starts with Everything In It's Right Place. It is extremely dark and cryptic. It goes on with Kid A and it gets darker. It gives a feeling similar to extreme lonliness and isolation, and by the end of The National Anthem and How to Disappear Completely you feel like you are in the depths of a dark forest, extremely brooding. Right when you think you really cant take much more track  5 starts. It is called Treefingers. It is completely instrumental and is so mellow and sweet to the ears that it takes you back to a calm. It isnt a happy calm though really, but a feeling like a calm before a storm, or like the bliss of sleep after a horrible experiance. The way of explaining how you feel while listening to it is that it is just eerie, yet soothing.

Then comes the harder and more determined songs, less melancholy but still dark, and it ends with a soft yet powerful grace and pain all at once. It is so mixed and so beautifully dark that I really cant explain the feelings I had after listening to the whole album. It has to be one of the best music experiances of my life.

I picked up OK computer finally. So far it has just blown me away. From the first guitar riff of Airbag and rock out jams of Paranoid Android it is equally kicking my ass with sheer greatness. I know I must sound nuts on how much I am praising this band, but now I can totally see why people say that Radiohead has taken the mantle of Pink Floyd. This music group has to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest of our time. I am just excited to hear their new album, and though it is very top secret I have heard that  it may be even more revolutionary than Kid A. I am very excited.

Any other Radiohead fans out there?? if so please comment I really want to get feedback on this. :)

Yeah Radiohead are great, the bends is their best albumn.
