New Frank Herbert Books!

I got some new books written by frank herbert.

I got Songs of Muad'dib a while ago, as well as a two volume series. the first one is The Best of Frank Herbert: 1952 to 1964, and the second books is The Best of Frank Herbert: 1965 to 1970. These two books contain either short stories, or snippets from novels. The Introductions on both are extremely awesome, and I have shown a bit of it before on Dune2k. It is pretty awesome :) .  I also got Soul Catcher, as well as Dragon In The Sea a few weeks ago.

About three days ago though when I was in Down Town Mount Vernon, I got some books I have been desiring for awhile,a nd some that were unexpected.

at Scott's Book Store I got Naked Lunch, by William S. Bourroughs. It is a huge book of prose, like beat poetry. The Reality in the book is altered, as it is an abstract biography of sorts about his life during the 50s drug scene. Really interesting. I just had to post about that because it is freakin awesome! hehe

Then I went to this used book store down town called "The Tattered Page". Corny, and the selection isnt that great, but it works.hehe

There I got The Worlds of Frank Herbert, The Godmakers yet again, and The Dragon In The Sea. Now I know I said I already got it, and I did, but this is a weird one. Maybe somebody can tell me about this, and also tell me if it is rare.

The cover title is "21st Century Sub". Below the cheezy red font of the title, it says in small letters (original title "The Dragon in the Sea").

It has a picture of a typical corny looking submarine. It looks like it came from 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea.lol Also on it is a guy in some sort of scubba gear. It is jsut so weird as I ahve never heard of this version.

I have a lot of Frank's books, especailly some really rare ones. My pride and joy is the five book box set I have called "Worlds Beyond Dune". It has Whipping Star, Desodi Experiment, Destination: Void, The Jesus Incident, and The Lazerus Effect. The box set is in extremely damn good condition and is worth about 70 bucks!!

Pretty extensive I must say, I will make a list of the books I have.

Whipping Star, Desodi Experiment, Destination: Void, The Jesus Incident, and The Lazerus Effect are all available in french, but others aren't.

I have no more FH books.

A friend has borrowed all my Dune novels.

Also, for me, being in love and reading FH feel incompatible.
