Please attach your directx text file.

start/run/dxdiag/save all information...

save as something other than dxdiag.txt as that file is probably already in use on the Fed2k attachments folder.

I cannot see any hardware listed in there for audio. Am I meant to ? Dub, do you know anything about your machine ? Which machine is it ? Make/model ?

Did you put it together yourself (or anyone do it for you ?). Basically its just a matter of getting the drivers, which you can do once you know which sound card you have.

Worst case you may need to open up and peek inside.

I already installed the audio driver from the board installation cd (integrated sound card) and download the update from Intel website.  But like you, I don't see any driver at all in my machine.  And the worst part is, the installation cd from Intel told me that the driver are well installed on my computer.  So I really don't know wath to do.  That's why I need you for help, because I got no help form Intel at all.  I installed everything on my board by myself.

Sound card is supposed to be Intel® High Definition Audio subsystem Realtek ALC-880

So there's all the complete information about the onboard sound car I'm supposed to have.  And yes the sound card is in the on the board just to make sure you don't think that I'm this blind.

Thanks anyway Dub

Is formatting your computer an option?

It may solve the problem, although it would be nice to figure out why is got screwed up in the first place.

When did you first notice no sound?

The first time I've heard no sound, it's when It's when I want to configure my speaker and realize there was no sound card installed at all.  Everything was plugged, but nothing else happened.  Yes mayby formatting is an option but I want to figure what's happening befoere to make sure nothing broken inside.  But like I wrote in a previous reply, Intel installation CD tell me that's audio driver was installed on my computer, this is really weird.

So i'm still waiting Intel for more information about this problems.

Yes I did it.  I found the problem and fix it.  INTEL WAS THE PROBLEM.  I delet all the drivers from Intel installation cd or the version from Intel website and get the one from Realtek and now it's working.  No matter Intel was useless in this.

I send my new dxdiag in attachment if someone else have the problem.

Thanks to all of you guys,

Dub
