When I play the campaign, funny things happen. For example, when the little green monitor pops up during the mission, my game would lock-up for a while, it locks up for AGES, or until I use alt+tab to go back to Windows (difficult), and then get back to the game. In co-op campaign, this causes me to lag. It's irritating.

Also, after a campaign mission, I go to the debriefing screen, before the screen fully loads up (as in background is up, but the boxes with all the information have not), it locks up the same way. Sometimes, the music also stops, but if I go to Windows and get back, it gets okay. If I'm not wrong someone had a similar problem... can somebody help?

I've attached my DxDiag file.

hi gunner  well befor you ask for help first ask your self, do you have a powerfull system? do you match minimum requirement for this game . i mean 3d strategy games are very demanding, system wise.when you have 100 s of unites running and acting in defrent way try to put ure graphics on low and uninstall some extra programs from your c: drive just maybe you will be ok. !!

I'm using a GeForce 5200 FX thing.

Yes, I fulfil all the minimum system requirements, and this is a problem that I have not had even on slower computers. I've got 512MB ram, and the speed is 3.0GHz. The gameplay is extremely smooth, but it is during the campaign when the little green monitor pops up or when some speech is about to occur that this lockup occurs. It also happens before the debriefing screen fully loads up.

I was digging up emp tech support and found a similar problem... it's got something got to do with the speech files in the CD and taking time to read... oh well.
