Imperial Sardaukar Posted December 21, 2004 Share Posted December 21, 2004 Not that I was actually gone, just busy with work, and then Half-Life 2 took up the rest of the time I had, well, I reinstalled EBFD, bought myself the latest prequel, and I'm back in the game. ;DAnyways, since without it this would not be a Dune related thread, I'll ask a question about the Duniverse. If the Atreides are actually a derivitve of the Harkonnen, where and why did they split? I remember the original book mentioning it, but from there, I can't remember. Came from Atreus.Not sure where Harkonnen came from, but it is a Finnish name.During the Battle of Corrin (when the machines were killing everyone) the Harkonnen betrayed the Atreides and ever since they have disliked each other.
