I read about this in some thread already but I can't find it any more. maybe someone could explain everything in detail.

I want to change the music in Emperor, what do I have to do: I know about the BAG-Tool and I already used it to extract all the music from the game. Now I would like to create a bag file with e.g. the fight club music in it for ordos battles. what do I have to do? As I also found some .txt files with music stuff in it... how do I have to edit them after packing a bag-file?

Maybe someone could explain the whole music stuff from the beginning to the end as I think this question might come up again sooner or later...

I don't have time right now to type out a specific lengthy reply to your problem at the moment, but perhaps this thread may interest you.

To put it in a nutshell, you have to:

1. Recompile a music.bag file with the new music tracks you want the game to play using the BagTool utility.

2. Modify the appropriate text file(s) to let the game know where to look for the music track (in this case, it will be on your hard drive 'HD'), and with which house(s) you want to associate the track with.

If you need more help, feel free to ask and I'll go into more detail.

thx mace...

the real problem was that I didn't know what I had to do with the .txt files. the other thread helped me...

now I finally got my own music in there, abou 25 tracks, some from emperor, some music from matrix & the rock, metal gear solid soundtrack rocks too... a whole new feeling in skirmish battles now  ;D
