No 640 x 480?

I try to run the game in 640 x 480, but it runs in 800 x 600.

In the options, the current mode is listed as 640 x 480.

Why does it then run in 800 x 600?

Do you have any of those little utilities that force certain resolutions/refresh rates ? If so try disabling them temperarily.

Also, try looking at the registry at this key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREWestwoodEmperorOptionsGraphics] for two strings, one called Screen Height and the other called Screen Width, they should be 640 and 480 respectively.

This is olaf. He probably made them.

Are you sure it fails to play in 640x480, rather than just displays the menu at 800x600 and reverts ingame?

And probably still would be good to check if it is running and forcing that resolution, if there is one.

And it's indeed about the menu, I expected it to go to 640 x 480 too.
