Hi All,

I am currently working in Germany and i have a T-DSL line.

I try to set up everythng, but my DSL modem just does not see the DSL connection

I think it is some kind of Dail-Up DSL.

Now i read the instructions (after i could not connect it  ::)) and it is written that i should choose DF

hehe, off-course i got my username and password etc..

The modem i have is the Sinus 154 DSL Basic SE.

I went to the configuration of the modem with 192.168.2.1 (or something simulair) and there is typed in my username, password etc..

The problem is that when i connect the modem to the splitter, the led of DSL is not lightning up. I do not know if it is normal, cause the DSL that i have has some kind of dail-up.

So maybe first this dail-up should be done before that light starts burning.

Most modems have on eled to indicate there is a DSL line connected, and on eled for an active DSL connection after you have dialed in. Not shure if it's the same with the Sinus modem.

a splitter, sort of splitting the DSL connection and the normal phone one ? .. if so have you tried it without the splitter ?

I need the splitter, it is indeed for splitting the normal telephone and the DSL.

I think there is only one light on the Modem. I'll check it this evening.

if you have an ISDN phone line you should be able to connect without the splitter.

[ for DSL in The Netherlands that is, not really shure about our German neighbours although it might be worth to check it out ]

You can also try calling over your DSL line . . just to check.

i figured it out why it was not working....

I do not have DSL yet !!!  :'(

In the telecom shop they said everything was working. I could not get it to work, so i called in a specialist. He tried modem and splitter etc.. Then he phoned to, i do not know where, and found out there was a problem with my line and they have to re measure the line. ???

Darn, could they not have told me, it would have saved me two days and a lot of shitty programs on my computer  >:(

Grtz, and gryphon, bedankt voor je ideeen
