Unreal II does go to desktop during gameplay

Every time I play Unreal 2, it goes to desktop with this message:

General protection fault!

What can I do to fix this problem?

Do you have the latest patch?

Have you tried reinstalling it?

Do you have the latest drivers for your video card?

Have you tried to go to a unreal II forum and search for some keywords that you are experiencing?

I installed the latest video driver, but it still crashing.

I won`t reinstall  the game, because I installed it just yesterday.

Have you tried disabling your antivirus software and try it?

I know with emperor antivirus programs are a big problem.
