Lock-up with user-made maps

Hiya folks, just discovered this game pack in my sons old game disc and got hooked immediately!!

The maps are badly made ? Can you name a few of the maps ?

Do you have any problems with any NON-User mande map ?

There is no common isssues with fan-made maps on Emperor Battle for Dune.

none of the regular game maps lock up on me,and very few of the player made maps. Desert Gateway, Furnace Point, Secret Passages and double Jeapordy II are the ones that lock up.

I will see if I can download those ones at let you know if they crash (in which case they are likely to be faulty) or not, in which case there might be something wrong with your installation.

I thought that might be the problem, but they crash on our other 2 comps as well, so I dont have a clue....  :-, but any help would be appreciated since they all look like they'd be killer maps to play.

If certain map's usually ( read "always" ) fail it used to be a faulty designed map or a modded map. . atleast, that's what I know from Red Allert....

Yes, well, from your last post I guess it would be the maps. Like Gryp says, it is probably going to be faulty maps. Will download them anyway, and let you know.

Just to let yuou know Desert gateway and furnace point have been played by many people recently as it is one of the recommended user maps and it works fine. I guess you have a problem with your Emperor installtion.
