Windows problem, need help plz

I've got win xp, and I just recently did a format. It was working all fine but one day when I entered task manager it just quit from it after a moment. I mean as I enter the task manager it may be up for a second or so and then just quit. I'm having this problem since then, apart from it everything else works fine. Uh and I did download all the security updates from Microsoft.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)
