GhostHunter
I'm looking through Dune for various things for my Honors English essay and I came about this on page 77:It is said that the Duke Leto blinded himself to the perils of Arrakis, that he walked heedlessly into the pit. Would it not be more likely to suggest he had lived so long in the presence of danger that he misjudged a change in it's intensity? Or is it possible that he deliberately sacrificed himself
Dante
I think he recognised the danger but not the direction. He was expecting something bad but not that it would come from within his own household. That's what got him.
