Some trouble with MoZilla "helper apps"

I just got MoZilla recently, and I'm having some trouble getting the "helper applications" to run properly.  WMV files, for example.  It's mentioned in the helper applications list (it was there when I got Mozilla), but when I try to open one, it tries to open the file as text.  Same goes for MOD files, which I had to add to the list myself.

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

MoZilla (I would have said if I was using Firefox; I know it's still in beta stages, so I decided not to get it).  But shouldn't there be a way in Mozilla?  Wlse, what's the point of having a list of helper apps, if none of them are supposed to work?
