i think empworm was trying to make a point... and that point was... that these peace groups compare EVERYTHING to hitler... whether its Bush or whoever...thats why he claims they are enfatuated.

'

thats exactly the point.  The peace groups constantly use Hitler as a crutch to paint anyone they dont like.  If they oppose a leader...whos the first person they turn to when describing him?  HITLER of course.  They love using Hitler in order to "demonize" somoene.  Thes idiots don't have any clue what Hitler really did.  Comparing Bush to Hitler is beyond stupidity.  It only shows these "peace" groups have some kind of fantasy (get aroused?) when thinking of Hitler

"and you find that freedom is, by definiton, not one of them"

Understatement; I could have worded it more explicitly, but it would be ignored anyway.

""Freedom for themselves and those of like-mind isn't something they hate"

"people that oppose them, fundamental christians, conservatives, etc.,..are something they hate"

"therefore liberal tyrrany" is a reality "

And this doesn not seem to follow any (non-contradictory) line of reasoning.

Hmmm....read it harder then.  If you want me to insert a word to make it more clear, hows this:

"therefore PROFESSING liberal tyrrany" is a reality.

u can play semantical games, but then I do not speak in double negatives.

"And this doesn not seem to follow any (non-contradictory) line of reasoning."

Comparing people to Hitler does not mean that the person has some sort of fantasy about Hitler. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. However, it's quite dumb to compare Bush to Hitler I agree, but it is done in order to incite anger - because that's the feeling that Hitler incites in most people. Protest signs are like commercials - flashy, screaming, untrue and over the top, the reason for it being that they are meant to attract attention. It's just like those ads during WWII in US that displayed things like "When you ride alone you ride with Hitler" or "Stop those Germans from eating Belgian babies".

Using Hitler to demonize is very pathetic, I agree, but it doesn't make them neo nazis or Hitler lovers. If you think it does, you need to take a step back and stop posting for a while.

Ok, you're still going for the contradictory one. Someone who is given as liberal is also therefore liberal to other points of view, and tolerates them, though will speak against them.

Comparing people to Hitler isn't necessarily a direct comparison between actual policies :P Hitleresque is like saying Orwellian.

And it's so in keeping with conservative tactics to straight of topic and condemn the way or arguing rather than the argument itself. Bush ad campaigns saying Kerry is a slanderer, while Kery ad campaigns offer honest and irrefutable facts.
