Does anyone here think that we live in an age of solidification and rigidity, especially here in the "west"?  It seems to me that borders are stopped from moving, laws and constitutions are beginning to be set in adamantine rather than mere stone, and that concepts that once were flexible and undefined are being stapled to the page like moths?  Many things which were once free and wild are now settled into established patterns, structures and forms.  This may or may not be a bad thing, and it may be entirely in my imagination, but what do you think?

...as well as many things are now much more free and wild. Society changes, in last centuries we've extremely changed our look on ourselves.

Things may seem to have settled down but actually they're still moving. It's just that we're unaware of much of it. Look at Iraq or Israel, still shaking up and changing. Russia is steadily altering a few things and as for Britain and the USA...

Nothing seems to change because it's done so slowly and so high up that it passes us by.

We live in an age where people decide the laws are rigid and often too strict - so they mind breaking them less. The culture of lawbreaking grows, and eventually, it becomes acceptable to break rules.

Then rules start to get changed because people are breaking them, and not put in place or enforced to stop them breaking them. And so human culture degenerates.
