Sound card question

I need to find out if my sound card supports something called 'full duplex'. Is there somewhere I can look in my system settings to determine whether or not it is?

If I'm not mistaken, most soundcards support full duplex by default (I'm 99% sure that Creative sound cards support it).

Ok, I guess I'll take your word for it then, it's just that I might be getting a microphone soon, and wanted to know if I could use voice online when I'm playing games. ;)

This is what the system info for my 'Sound Device' looks like. I don't know whether it's really the sound card or not though, since it seems to be somewhat related to the modem.  ???[attachment archived by Gobalopper]

It's an onboard sound card. I doubt this will be full duplex though. A suggestion may be to upgrade to a cheap creative sound card.

A creative sound card? Would I need any spare slots in my motherboard (and would those kind of cards be compatible with my motherboard?) I have a K7S5A motherboard, if that's of any help. :)

With the newer cards, as long as you have an PCI slot (the white ones in the case), you'll be fine.
