Hello,

I'm a Rap fan and I'm trying to eliminate the artists voice from songs and just get the beats, I have Creative Wavestudio and Nero Wave Editor yet niether seem to be able to do this. So if you know how, or a different program that can do this I'd really appreciate it...

If you mean something like karaoke there are programs that can help you. I warn you they may not be of much use because vocal removal software operates on this principal: remove what is in the center of the audio field that falls within the vocal range (usually anywhere from 500Hz to 4000 Hz).

You will have to test the audio track to see what is at the center. This can be done by importing the CD track into your favorite audio editing program. Invert the waveform on one of the stereo channels. Make a mono sound file from the stereo, mixing each side in equally. The resulting sound file will be what falls outside the center audio field. Most of the time there are stereo reverbs or other stereo effects on vocals. The best you can do is purchase a karaoke tape or a program to make a karaoke CD, maybe even find the song in MIDI version.
