85 years ago slovak nation alongside with Czechs finally decided to separate from Austrohungarian Empire and Czechoslovakia entered the history. Altough fanatical nationalists parted her twice - in 1938 and 1993 - she will be always called our homeland...

Ok, so you think it is a good or a bad thing that Austrohungaria was separated?

In that time, there was no other choice. 70 years of Franz Joseph I. rule doomed the monarchy to decay. World war showed Habsburgs as aggressive oldish rulers, unfittable to democratic trends on the West. In fact, Czechoslovakia became the most succesful country from monarchy's descendants. There was still chance to save the country on the beginning of the century, maybe, but not in 1918. And our republic showed herself as functional very quickly - what we can't say about today's Slovakia.
