A few days ago, my case fan broke down.

That was my only one, and I was a bit afraid because I have an AMD CPU, and without proper cooling, it might get a bit hot.

The funny thing is that when the case fan broke down, my CPU temperature SANK by 6°C! (60°C down to 54°C)

Not only that... My motherboard temperature sank by 4°C! (40°C to 36°C)

My CPU is watercooled, and the fan which cools the water is placed in a spot it wouldn't benefit from the old case fan, so the CPU temperature shouldn't be affected, but it is!

The old fan was located on the middle of the left case door, which is an idiotical position. I am going to buy two new ones and place them in the back for proper cooling, but my economy is too weak to let me fork out for such luxury as case fans :P

Hehe.

Well, the airflow shouldn't be problematic as my case used to consist of the following:

A water cooling fan in the lower front of the cabinet, a GPU fan mounted under my graphics card, and the case fan, and two fans on my PSU(however, one of the fans only pointed out and didn't really have something with the computer itself to do)

Now, only those three(four) fans are left...

I actually can't just throw £10 out of the window to get two new case fans when I have so much else I rather want to spend them on ;)

Wow, are those temps on full load ? otherwise they seem pretty hot. ;)

Hehe, I was starting to worry. Playing too much games is not good.

I don't play much games myself.

What CPU do you have?

And how hot is it if you put a full burden on it for several hours?

AMD K7 1Ghz overclocked to 1.3Ghz.

My comp goes up zo 67°C as far as I know when gaming for hours. As it usually freezes up after too much time, I don't know the freezeup temp , because I have to re-boot.

I have a water cooled AMD XP 2400+ Palomino( :() CPU.

It runs everything I tell it to, for all eternity if I wish to :D
