Dune 2-problem

I have downloaded the game and it doesnt work.

I have win 98 SE.

Direct X 8.1

how can i solve this problem ? :(

Can you explain better what problem that it gives? Does it give an error report? or does the game startup and then suddenly go to desktop?

it sais that its not sure if he finds all the files of the game.then it seems that its working but it quit immediately.

Its a MS-DOS file.

Where did you install it from? A cd, or floppy's? Make sure you extracted it right so that the right files are in the right place. I have dune2 too, i could send it to you too so you can extract it.

how did you extract? Did you run winzip and just threw all files in one folder? Or did you use the "extract to" option?

downoload it again if needed and see if that give you a good file.. .

i cant setup it because i have newer sound card so i dont take risks.

so i tried to play through the exe and the dos file and it is written to me that the program will may have difficult to find some of its files, to continue the process ?

i pressed on the button 'yes' and it didnt work.

what can i do ?

ofcourse you can setup it. Just try no sound at first (as on my comp it only worked if i put sound off due to lack of external memory)

i have creative 128 sound card, what should i pick ?

Well, you could ofcourse try no sound. But then normally you should choose soundblaster (don't remember if it also asks you for sound blaster ports, but those are generally automatically found.

I Installed it and i chose 1.yes for extended memory and 1.yes for mouse.

no sound.everything was fine but still it doesnt work it starts there is black screen and then it quit.

When you start up your PC, you can press F8 a few times after the memory is counted. It should provide you with a few boot options. Starting up in MS-DOS should be one of them.
