When I run setup from a networked drive I get an error:"unable to locate the necessary files" - Can't install directly since the computer (laptop) doesn't have a CD drive.

Any suggestions?

locally map the shared network drive as a local drive.

Resuling in you being able to access it as D: instead of computer2dune2000share. [ paths used are examples ]

Not shure which version of Windows you are using although it should be possible with all versions. Usually it's called map network drive.

It should work then . .. .

Why is your installer looking at D: ?

Did you have it installed on that computer before, and by any change installed it from your D drive that time ?

No, i want to install it on a laptop (no CD drive). I get to the install screen (using the mapped drive) and then I can't get any further.

Sounds like i'm out of luck. Thanks anyway....
