Can you describe how it won't play? Does it freeze somewhere, can you even start the program, give you an error message, etc. If you can tell us precisely what the problems are with it we'll be able to help you out more easily.

So compatability doesn't work you say? Which year did you set it for? Windows 95 compatability should work the best. Don't bother with the wizard, just go to the shortcut(s) you use, right click, select properties, and use the compatability tab. It has all the same options. Also, you might want to try "Turn off advanced text services for this program" and "Disable visual themes."

You could try to ad an " +w" to the Emperor Battle for Dune shortcut.

Changing it from h:westwoodemperoremperor.exe into h:westwoodemperoremperor.exe +w for example.

The presents of Norton anivirus 2003 could also be resulting in that splash screen and nothing more after that. . ..
