i was just thinking the universe, and it suddenly occured to me that everything around us is like some... really weird shroud of normality that just seems so fake.

have you ever considerd that no matter what theory about the universe is proven there cannot be a limit to somthing, like if this universe is not infinite then what is outside that? and then what is outside that....

it seems so difficult to concive that when we are all surrounded by plastic and tv. this place just seem so... incredibly out of place in this universe that its no wonder that we cannot fathom infinity when we have distanced ourselves from everthing out there scince i guess we first existed...

maybe we are not supposed to understand...

Well, consider that outside of the Universe (Universe being all that we can see, not all that there is) are the dimensions with which we cannot see.

perhaps but thats not my point. we cannot se the edge of the universe so we cant fully understand it.

i cant understand how there simply cant be anything beyond this universe, so i belive that there has to be somthing there.

i think it says somthing about scientifical research, faults that we perhaps would not be able to detect

Well, we'd never get close to the universe (it's so far from here I doubt our species would be here still, if such a quest was made), so all we have is the evidence around us. Also, we don't need to see it to understand it. When we observe the effects of the behavior of the phenomenon on other things, we can determine the behavior of the phenomenon. In my opinion, of course, I'm not an astronomer nor do I claim to be one.

Do be aware that when thinking of a 'limit', you must not think about there being something on the other side, or being able to go there.

You cannot go to the 'edge' of the universe, and throw a stone outwards; there is not outside the universe. Likewise, there is no 'before the big bang' in which for anything to exist.

but the evedence we see around us only can tell us of this universe, not of the infinite expanse beyond that.

the evedence also can only be recived in numbers and text; ' hey did u know that our solar system is 55439905920385904328590324859430258095903 times the size of the entire country of america, and that the universe is 4384732847321047289404324234243247321904718032 times the size of that', 'wow... that really big'

thats not really understanding, its not seeing and feeling the universe.

i think that, our senses prevent us from understanding infinity because u just cant see it all and u cant experience somthing as big as the universe. i think that to the average person saying that the universe is *long long string of numbers* times bigger then the whole planet would have the same impact on them as saying that everthing here and beyond is infinitly larger then this planet

ive heard all this before but noone can explain- nothing. it is ironic that outside this universe it is said that there is an infinte nothingness, neither of which can be explained even though they are the direct opposite.

but outside this huge space, how can there simply be nothing, i can understand a vaccum, ive seen one before, it a gap with nothing in it, but im told that outside the universe there is not even that becase even a vaccum and its 'contents' experience time, whereas whatever is outside the universe does not....

then aghain how can any of this be proven scince there cannot be any interaction with this nothingness
