Emperor won't run

I wanted to go back to emperor the other day so I installed it on my new pc... Trouble is, every time I try to run it, the loading screen comes up, goes away then nothing happens. I am running xp pro with norton 2003... is it hopeless? I've already tried setting compatibility mode on emperor to windows 98, disabling norton and setting my desktop to 800x600 with 16 bit colors. What else could I try?

Have you tried any of these two things at Westwood. [ one two ]. But more important. Compleatly uninstall Norton and then uninstall Dune Emperor and reinstall it.

Besides you might want to read this topic for more info.
