This is in reply to Mahdi's comment about my game on the front page. "I have no doubt that Mahdi's comments on the rights issue of the DUNE GURPS suppliment was good-intentioned and protective of the fans, however, I feel it may have been somewhat discouraging to those considering helping. I have no doubt that, if Steve Jackson GAMES deems our suppliment worthy, they can easily aquire the rights. They have done similar things with Terry Pratchett's 'Discworld', Robert E. Howard's 'Conan', and numerous others. I feel the only obsticle we truely have is making sure the suppliment is of good quality, both in Writing, continuity, and art direction. If we accomplish this, I feel the rest will be a breeze. However, we cannot do that without the help of those die-hard fans who post on such message boards as this sites', the fans who can spot a continuity error at a 40 paces. I hope some of you will consider assisting, and keep in mind that many of the books for GURPS have come from the writings, submissions, and ideas of fans such as us. Thank you." I'm not going to post Mahdi's responce to this message as I don't know if he'd want me to. But I have a strong feeling that this could be a great game, but it's not gonna be without the support of the fans... Anyways... Thanks.
