Got some enws on December 23th that the SCOL language, wich was used to make Dune Generation, went Open Source, as a decision from the court.

Some people may think that DG will be alive again, wich is far from the thruth. As Christophe Lorek replied himself, even if the SCOL is open source, DG's code isn't. As he said in a earlier post, even if some people from the open source community might want to take the project, the game wasn't finished, and, even more, might not be finishable.

I'm quoting Lorek's here :

"I wasn't talking in the name of certain members of the team, but know that many of them where questionning many things at the end of the project. Some even said that it was necessary to re-code some entire part of the game to hope see it run some day so...

If those people had not questionned the game like that, some members of the development team would have gladly continued the project..."
