Screen resolution suddenly reduced to 1024x768, it used to be bigger

So yes, I've been playing for the past twenty years and it's always a bit of a challenge to get the game working fine when I sort my pc out. But I've had it working fine for a year or two now. I recently went on holiday for a month, and booted the game up when I got back to find it's gone to a small resolution. Before it was much bigger, a bit stretched, not my full native resolution, but fine to play with, but now it goes down to that comparitively tiny one. Any idea what's up?

I tried the adjusting the scaling settings in Windows 10 option and that hasn't seemed to make a difference.
