Just posting to let you know that the programming stages for v2.00 are almost over. Soon we'll only have the graphics left to do, and they won't take long. The name of the Corrino superweapon has been decided: the Imperator CannonGood news! Kwisatz Haderach v2.00 will allow you to play in campaign mode! (although that's just a side effect - the Corrino campaign will be identical to the old Atreides one in every respect, except that you'll use Corrino units) You'll also be able to play it in skirmish and multiplayer any way you like (with a Corrino computer, or pre-built bases, etc.)The Harkonnen air units will be restored to their original settings (but the ADP will get semi-decent speed for a change), because we've created a new Hark unit: the Stalker.Essentially a stealthy Mongoose with no AA capability, the Stalker was created by using plans stolen from the Atreides during the Battle of Caladan. While experimenting with the design, the Harkonnen discovered that it was perfect for their new stealth generator (a ixian prototype that costed the Harkonnen an entire month's spice production). Stealth generators are bulky and expensive, therefore the new Stalkers are nearly twice as expensive as the old Mongeese and they lack AA capability. But their ambush potential is unequaled.Oh, and a new map has been added to the FED2k Emperor map archive - Desert Siege (made by... me! ;) ). Gobalopper hasn't posted about it on the main page, so I took to shameless self-advertising. :)
